About GreenTech Ethiopia
GreenTech Ethiopia is an online platform to learn about and discuss environmentally friendly and sustainable technologies suitable for the Ethiopian context.
The objective of the blog is both to inform a wider audience about available green technologies and how they can contribute to the sustainable development of Ethiopia, but also to encourage a direct exchange and dialogue between different groups that are interested in the topic, but have little contact with each other – such as students of engineering, architecture, economics, urban planning and related fields on the one hand and established experts in the field of environment on the other.
GreenTech Ethiopia wants to provide constructive ideas for tackling Ethiopia’s economic and environmental challenges. The aim is to demonstrate how green, environmentally friendly technologies can not only contribute to Ethiopia’s economic and human development – but that they can do it better than conventional technologies. Perceptions that environmental concerns would be an obstacle to development should be disproven.
